Lisa Siler

Lisa’s love for horses began at the age of four when she received her first pony. At ten years old, she began working at a local barn, cleaning stalls, and grooming. By the time she was a teenager, she apprenticed with a professional trainer.

Through her experience, she developed a passion for bringing out the best in every horse, be it through showing, breeding, or riding for pleasure. Later, Lisa balanced starting a family along side her work with horses, as farm owner/operator for ten years. Eventually, Lisa’s focus shifted to raising her children, and just enjoying life with her heart horse, Dottie.

In 2020, Lisa was ready to re-enter the equine world professionally. She joined the Fresh Start team, where she continues to combine what she loves most, helping horses and people grow together.

Today, Lisa primarily works with Pandora and  Falkor, who each bring their own unique qualities to the Fresh Start program, as they share the same steady temperament and willingness to learn, with a gentle nature that makes them exceptional partners for students.

She teaches lessons, and assists in sessions, with the same philosophy that has guided her throughout her career. She believes that every horse and every human deserve patience, understanding, and the opportunity to succeed and achieve their goals, as the strongest partnerships are built on trust, consistency, and compassionate horsemanship.
