Claudia Loinaz, M.S.
Claudia Loinaz is an essential member of our therapy team. She earned her B.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Universidad Ibero Americana (UNIBE), Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 2014. Claudia moved to South Florida in 2015, and went on to earn her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2017. Claudia is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in the state of Florida working towards full licensure
Claudia is an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Pre-Clinical Fellow. She has six years of clinical experience working with couples, individuals, families and children from a systems therapy perspective. Utilizing a systemic approach, Claudia works with children and adults, who are members of immigrating Hispanic families, on navigating through the issues associated with transitioning to a new country.
Claudia specializes in issues relating to sexuality. Her areas of focus include: sexual dysfunctions (anorgasmia, erectile dysfunction), culture and sexuality, sexual avoidance, gender identity, and the LGBTQ community. Claudia frequently works with children on the Autism Spectrum, as well as provides in-school therapeutic shadowing and academic motivation for children with an Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) diagnosis, as well as those with similar diagnosis/disorders. In conjunction with this work, she conducts group therapy sessions for children and teens, which focus on the development and building of social skills, as well as on behavioral management. Her other areas of focus include: grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, couples, divorce, substance abuse, and women struggling with domestic violence. Claudia provides therapy fluently in both English and Spanish.
